About Our Grant Process

Each year our grant funding amount is determined by the number of women who join Impact100 Metro Detroit by April 15. Each member's $1,000 donation is pooled into a grant fund, and grants are awarded in increments of $100,000 each.


The grant application opens in early December of each year and closes in late January.  Once the application portal is closed, all submitted applications are reviewed by committees comprised of Impact100 Metro Detroit members.  The committees narrow the applications down to several semifinalists that then move on to financial review and site visits. In mid-April, finalist organizations are selected and notified.  They are invited to attend our Big Give event, during which the nonprofit leaders present their projects to our full membership.  Grant recipients are determined by member vote and announced at the event.
