Project Title: Racquet Up Detroit: Vital Transportation

Project Description:

Racquet Up Detroit is seeking $100,000 from Impact100 to fund the purchase of a new 14-passenger bus to replace its aging 2007 vehicle. Access to transportation is the key to youth participation in out-of-school programs, and Racquet Up’s ability to provide transportation has been a key success factor over the last 14 years. Transportation is a consequential budget item, and unforeseen vehicle expenses can prove quite burdensome for the organization. Having a new 15-passenger bus will allow for more predictable budgeting and ensure that youth have the transportation they need to fully participate in Racquet Up Detroit.
